Longford to turn blue for autism fundraiser

It's that time of year again when Longford town pulls out all the stops as part of a major autism awareness fundraiser.

Headed up by local woman Ann O'Leary, Autism Awareness Turn Longford Blue day takes place on April 6 in what will be the event's fifth anniversary.

In line with previous years, a pop up shop featuring the likes of face painting, Mickey & Minnie Mouse and Elsa will take centre stage on what promises to be a great day out for all the family.

A bag packing day at Dunnes Stores has been pencilled in for April 13 with volunteers needed while The Mall's bridge will be turned blue for the month of April.

Ann is likewise looking for local businesses to row in behind the initiative.
