Conroy Gold and Natural Resources plc, a gold exploration and development company based in Ireland and Finland, have revealed their drill programme for 2019 and Longford is listed as one of the counties where drilling will take place.
The company will commence a drill programme on the 65km gold trend, which they discovered running from Longford to Co Down. The programme will initially focus on the Slieve Glah area, 40km southwest of Clontibret.
Conroy Gold have described the Slieve Glah as a ‘very promising target area’ and say the drill programme will follow up their encouraging deep overburden and trenching results. The company already have, at Clontibret, a JORC resource of 517,000 oz Au and have targeted a further 8.8m oz Au in the overall Clontibret, Clay Lake, Glenish areas.
