Longford Association New York to honour Frank Keegan and Mary Armstrong

Rosie O'Grady's Skylight Lounge is the location for this year's upcoming Longford Association in New York annual get-together

The Longford Association in New York has chosen Frank Keegan as its 2019 Guest of Honour.

Frank, who hails from Barry, Ballymahon has lived in New York since 1967. He has been an active member and supporter of the association and its causes since then.

Frank married Hannah (Denihan) from Tarbert, Co Kerry in 1972 and they have three daughters, Caroline, Anne and Francine and 5 grandchildren.

Frank has been employed as a Manhattan Resident building manager for the past 45 years and just recently announced his retirement.

The Association is also proud to announce that Mary Prunty Armstrong will receive its 2019 Distinguished Service Award.

Mary has been a tremendous supporter of everything Longford in New York since she stepped off the boat at Ellis island in 1954.

Mary married Gabriel Armstrong in 1958 and they are the proud parents of Gerard, Michael, Marian and Laura. Michael lost his life in the tragedy of September 11.

A resident of Piermont, Mary is the proud grandmother to 5 grandchildren. Gabriel , after a long battle with Alzheimer's passed on to his eternal rest in 2014.

The Banquet will be held this year on Saturday, March 2 at Rosie O'Grady's Skylight Lounge in Manhattan, New York.
