Man arrested in Longford in connection with Strokestown eviction investigation
A man in his 50s has been arrested in Longford today as part of ongoing investigations into incidents that took place during an eviction at Falsk, Strokestown, Co Roscommon on December 16 last.
Following a search of a house in the Killoe area of Co Longford (today, Wednesday, February 6) a man was arrested and he is currently detained at Castlerea Garda station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.
This is the fifth individual arrested in total as part of this investigation, two are currently before the courts.
