Households in Granard are without water this evening due to 'technical fault'

Households in Granard are without water this evening due to 'technical fault'

Due to a technical fault, parts of Granard and surrounding areas, are without water this evening and the issue may not be resolved until tomorrow afternoon.

This evening, Irish Water, said, "We wish to advise customers on Main Street, Granard and surrounding areas including, but not isolated to, Cara, Springtown Bunlahy area and Granardkill, that due to a technical fault, an unplanned water outage may affect water supply from this evening, Thursday, January 24 from 6pm.

"Crews are on site carrying out repair works which have an estimated completion time of 2.30pm on Friday, January 25.

Following completion it may take a couple of hours for the water supply to return to normal. Irish Water is currently contacting vulnerable customers in the area to ensure their water supply needs are met.

Irish Water apologises for any inconvenience caused."
