As storm Deirdre wreaked her havoc over Ireland on Saturday, one Longford woman who was out Christmas shopping in Longford town had the misfortune of losing her handbag.
The Longford lady in question is appealing to anyone who may have information on the bag's whereabouts to come forward.
The bag contained a quantity of cash as well as some items of sentimental value.
The lady thinks she may have lost the bag in or near Dealz on Saturday evening at about 7 o'clock.
She said it would be a lovely Christmas present to her if the bag was safely returned.
