Longford set for €1m retail cash injection

Longford’s economic fortunes look set for a major shot in the arm thanks to a €1m investment from leading fashion retailer DV8.

The well established High Street giant has confirmed its intention to open a store at the former Bargain Centre premises at 33 Ballymahon Street in Longford town.

It’s anticipated the 4,000 sq ft store will open for business in late May, creating up to 15 new jobs.

More signifiantly, DV8 bosses have insisted the firm’s decision to branch into Longford will lead to an overall €1m investment in Longford’s retail industry.
