After three years away in London city gathering more specialised physiotherapy experience, Barry Mollaghan has returned to resume his successful private physiotherapy clinic at the Harbour House, Market Square, Longford.
While he was away Barry worked for the renowned ‘Institute of sport Exercise and Health’ and the prestigious ‘ALO’ private sports injuries clinic on Harley Street.
Barry has an Honour’s degree in Physiotherapy (University of Teesside) and Sports Science (University of Sunderland), and studied at Curtin University, Perth, Australia where he attained a Post-Graduate Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy.
He is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, Health & Care Professions Council and a State registered Physiotherapist.
He has over 15 years experience working as a specialist sports and spinal physiotherapist in the UK and Ireland.
Barry originally lived and worked in the North East of England for over 11 years, where he spent time working in the NHS, before joining professional sports teams.
His career has included a number of high profile appointments including Academy team Physiotherapist at Middlesbrough FC; Reserve team Physiotherapist at Heart of Midlothian FC ,and Lead physiotherapist to the Men’s Irish National Basketball team and Lead Physiotherapist to Leitrim GAA team (2009-2012).
Barry specialises in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management of Sporting Injuries and Spinal Conditions.
He continues to develop his clinical skills undertaking training in specialist areas - Dry Needling/Sports Massage/Kinesio-taping/Functional Rehabilitation & Spinal Manual Therapy.
Barry strives to provide excellence in his holistic approach to whole body treatment.
From his vast physiotherapy experience he understands the important link between ‘mind & body’ and is an expert at rebalancing and restoring these elements through his clinical approach.
