Longford County Council eyes up €43m capital investment plan

Longford County Council has set its sights on splashing out more than €40m over the next three years on a wide range of locally based projects.

Head of Finance John McKeon released details of the ambitious plan at a meeting of Longford County Council last week.

He said the Council hoped to spend over €43m between now and 2019 across six departments.

Mr McKeon did, nontheless, warn were “very aspirational in nature” and were subject to grant aid from central government.

For a detailed breakdown on these plans see next week's Longford Leader.
