Longford motorists advised of St Patrick's Day traffic restrictions

Motorists are being advised of traffic prohibitions in the lead up and during Friday's St Patrick's Day parade in Longford town.

There will be no traffic allowed into the main town centre from 12:15pm until 2pm when it is expected the parade will come to a close.

Participants, together with a wide array of floats, are expected to take to the county town's streets from 1pm.

 Starting from its usual commencement point on the BatteryRoad. enthusiasts will proceed down Church Street, Lower Main Street, Main Street, Dublin Street, New Street before turning right on to Ballymahon Street. From there patrons will pass Killashee Street and on to the main Athlone Road.
