It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas…
We here at the Longford Leader love Christmas, and to get into the festive spirit, we're asking you, our readers, to show us your idea of Christmas in Longford to be in with a chance of winning a €200 voucher for Ganly's Hardware.
Last year, we hosted our inaugural Christmas competition, inviting the children of the county to send in their Christmas in Longford drawings.
The competition was a major success, and we were delighted to receive almost two hundred entries, all of which were of a very high standard.
A special supplement showed off some of the runners up, while winner Saoirse McLoughlin had her beautiful creation - which included a copy of the Longford Leader - printed on the front page of our Christmas paper.
This year, we're asking Longfordians of all ages to capture the theme of 'Loving Christmas in Longford' in a photograph.
Maybe it's a frosty stroll in your favourite Longford forest or walkway.
It could be a festive family photo as you enjoy the season with your loved ones.
Or perhaps, Christmas in Longford is summed up by St Mel's Cathedral in all it's glory, preparing for the celebrations.
You tell us!
The winning photographer will receive a €200 voucher for Ganly's Hardware, and will also have their 'Loving Christmas in Longford' photograph featured on the front page of the Longford Leader and on www.longfordleader.ie on Christmas week.
A gallery of runner-up photos will also be published online and in the paper that week.
So what are you waiting for?
Get snapping your seasonal shots, and email your entries to firstname.lastname@example.org before December 14, 2016.
Best of luck!
