The auditions for the St Mel’s Musical Society 2017 production ‘All Shook Up’ will take place in the Longford Arms Hotel on Sunday next, November 6, starting at 1pm.
The leading roles in ‘All Shook Up’ are as follows: Chad (Baritone) and Natalie Haller (Alto). Other principal parts include Dennis (Tenor); Jim Haller (Baritone); Sylvia (Alto Belt); Miss Sandra (Alto); Lorraine (Mezzo Belt); Mayor Matilda Hyde (Mezzo) and Dean Hyde (Tenor).
There are several other roles in this popular musical, along with the opportunity to join the chorus, and appearing in this local production promises to be a lot of fun.
‘All Shook Up’ will ‘rock and roll’ in Backstage Theatre for a total of nine performances, opening on Friday March 31 and running until Saturday April 8.
The wonderful songs of Elvis Presley form the backdrop for this musical about a mysterious, leather-jacketed stranger who shakes up a small Midwestern American town in the 1950s.
Librettist Joe DiPietro’s tale of the romance that ensued was inspired by Twelfth Night and other Shakespearean comedies.
