Paddy Beisty, Rathcroghan, Ballinagare, Roscommon

The death occurred on Tuesday, October 18 of Paddy Beisty, Rathcroghan, Ballinagare, Roscommon at Sligo University Hospital. In his ninety first year. Predeceased by his father Tom, mother Kate and brothers Jim and Joe. Sadly missed by his loving wife Carol, sons T.J. (Hawaii), Jim, Bill & Marty (all Washington), daughters Maureen and Dianne (both L.A.), sisters Maud and Anne, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, sister-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Brady's Funeral Home, Elphin, Sunday (October 23) from 4.30pm with Removal at 6pm to the Holy Trinity Church, Kilmaryal. Funeral Mass on Monday (October 24) at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Elphin Community Playground.


John Cumiskey, Main Street, Ballinamore, Leitrim / Mohill, Leitrim / Louth

The death occurred on Thursday, October 20 of John Cumiskey, Main Street, Ballinamore, Leitrim / Mohill, Leitrim / Louth in the tender care of the staff of laurel Lodge Nursing Home , Longford. Beloved husband of Sheila and loving father of Cathal, Gerard, Gabriel and Declan. Predeceased by his sister Maura (Faughnan). Sadly missed by his brothers, Fr PJ (NZ), Fr Cathal CSsR (Dundalk), Micheal (Mohill) and sister Teasie Reynolds (Dublin), daughter in law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces,relatives,neighbours and friends.

Peter Hagan, Carryglass, Longford Town, Co Longford / Killoe, Co Longford

The recent death has occurred on Wednesday, October 19 of Peter Hagan, Carryglass, Longford and formerly of Ryne Killoe, County Longford, in his 94th year at Laurel Lodge Nursing Home, Longford.

Husband of the late Mary, deeply regretted by his loving sons Pat and Peter, daughter-in-law Jill, grandchildren, brothers Fr Paddy and Johnny, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives also JJ Farrell and family, Johnny Flynn and family and his many friends. Rest in Peace.

Funeral Mass on Thursday October 20 at 12 noon in Saint Oliver's Church, Cullyfad . Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.


Norah Killian (née Greene), Fermoyle, Lanesboro, Co Longford

The recent death has occurred on Tuesday, October 18 of Norah Killian (nee Greene), Fermoyle, Lanesboro, Co Longford, peacefully in the loving care of the dedicated staff of Costello's Nursing Home, Lanesboro.

Predeceased by her husband Danny, her daughter Anne and her son in law Sean. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Maeve and Nora, sons in law Mel O'Farrell and Tony Kemple, her adored grandchildren Emer, Grace, Sarah, Rachel and Niall, brothers in law, sister in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Funeral Mass at St Mary's Church, Lanesboro at 1pm on Thursday, October 20 followed by burial in Clonbonny Cemetery.


Aidan Roche, Dowland Road, Walkinstown, Dublin / Raharney, Westmeath

The recent death occurred (suddenly) on Monday, October 17 of Aidan Roche, (Dowland Road and late of Grangemore, Raharney, Westmeath),  beloved father of Dean and DJ, husband of Sandra and loving brother of Seamus, Thomas, Elizabeth, Siobhan, Vivienne and Danielle; sadly missed by his loving sons, wife, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May he rest in peace. Reposing at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Crumlin Village on Thursday, October 20 from 12noon to 7.30pm. Funeral on Friday, October 21 after 10am Mass in St Agnes’s Church, Crumlin Village to Newlands Cross Crematorium. No flowers please. Donations in lieu, to Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.
