Tributes paid to brother of former Longford ICA Federation President

Tributes have been paid  to  the brother of former Longford Federation ICA President May Campbell following a tragic accident in Mayo over the August Bank Holiday.

Christy Gallagher (51) of Thallabawn, Louisburg was herding sheep on the Mweelrea Mountain on July 30 last  when he fell from a ledge and sustained fatal injuries.

His funeral took place at The Church of the Holy Family, Killeen on August 3  followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

 He is survived by his wife Peggy, daughter Danielle; sons Tom, Jeffrey and Shane; mother Nora; brothers Tommy-Joe, Padraic and John; sisters Mary-Alice, May, Rosaleen, Noreen, Eda, and Sally; grandchildren Lilah-Rose and Poppy-James, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
