All set for Cloone Show

Cloone's 28th Annual Agricultural Show takes place on Bank Holiday Monday, August 1 and this show looks set to be one of the highlights of the summer calendar. The show takes place in Beirne's Field (on Ballinalee Road, by kind permission of the Beirne family).
On the day, classes include horses, ponies, donkeys, cattle, sheep, goats, poultry, eggs, honey, cookery, county crafts and home industries, farm and garden produce, flowers, pet section, art and photography and junior cookery, crafts and handwriting.
Among the events are best dressed lady; glamorous granny; best mother and daughter lookalike; best father and son lookalike, bonny baby, Belle of Cloone, Master of Cloone and guess the weight.
The ducking chair will make a popular return and younger members of the family will be delighted with the bouncing castle.
