Planning board set to rule on Center Parcs appeal

The State’s independent planning authority is expected to deliver its verdict on a proposed €233 holiday village in Ballymahon later this month.

An Bord Pleanala is due to decide on whether to give the green light to UK leisure provider Center Parcs’ plans to develop a 395 acre site at Newcastle Wood.

It comes after three appeals were lodged with the board following Longford County Council’s decision to grant planning permission earlier this year.

An Bord Pleanala is expected to deliver its verdict by July 25.
