It was all go at St Christopher’s last Monday, July 4 despite the heavy rain, as 300 employees of Fidelity Investments got to work on some new features on the grounds on the Battery Road.
Throughout the grounds, groups of Fidelity employees and St Christopher's Services staff and service users were seen powering through the pouring rain; digging, raking, transporting, painting and transforming the area.
Explaining that the project was ongoing as part of the company’s annual Difference Days, Jenny Kavanagh, Director of Communications, Events and CSR, pointed out that the event was in line with Fidelity’s values as a company, which HR Director Laura Brady, a native of Longford town, then outlined.
“Fidelity Investments Ireland has five core values,” she revealed. “They’re responsibility, integrity, compassion, expertise and innovation and a corporate social responsibility programme such as this, and putting 300 associates in a community doing work for a day really demonstrates that we are living those values and giving back to the community.”
