Drugs, thousands of euro in cash, stolen property, and stun guns have all been seized following a series of raids in Longford town last Friday.

The searches were led and organised by Longford's Divisional Drugs Unit.

Searches were also carried out earlier in the week on another estate in Longford town where drugs, drug paraphernalia, cash, and a stun gun were recovered.

Both operations were part of an overall strategy rolled out in the Longford District earlier this year coinciding with the rejuvenation of its Community Policing Unit.
