Longford's summery weather set to be interrupted by rain - but it will return

County Longford got its first taste of summer in recent days, with locals enjoying sunshine and temperatures as high as 20 degrees Celsius.

And while the sun is hidden by clouds today (Monday), temperatures in the high teens can still be expected.

However, the dry conditions will not last long as rain is set to return tomorrow and will continue into Wednesday. It will remain warm, though, which will result in high humidity levels.

All is not lost as the weather looks set to improve in time for the weekend. Thursday and Friday will both be dry and temperatures are expected to reach as high as 19 degrees Celsius.
