Call for artists to take part in Cruthú

Getting set for its third year this July, Cruthú Arts Festival is once more issuing a call for artists to take part in what has become a highly-anticipated and thoroughly enjoyable weekend.

Taking place this year from July 28 - 31, exhibiting artists will be able to take advantage of pop-up spaces throughout the town to display existing works, house specially-designed installations or create unique conceptual spaces.

Since the festival’s inception, the committee have received fantastic responses to this call-out, resulting in an eclectic mix of visual art displays which are warmly welcomed and anticipated by visitors to the festival.

In a press release issued recently, the organisers stated; “We are looking to incorporate a broad range of visual art forms, including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, photography and film.”

Artists who wish to apply for exhibition spaces should contact the Cruthú Arts Festival committee by emailing or calling 086 3044399.

While the festival will endeavour to facilitate as many artists as possible, spaces are limited, and the closing date for submissions is Friday, May 6. Submissions will be evaluated by the committee and the successful participants will be contacted by email.
