Agri equipment and boat stolen by thieves

Thieves targeted a business premises on the Athlone Road sometime between 5pm last Friday (April 15) and 9:30am on Sunday morning.

Several agricultural and motor appliances were taken during the incident.

Among them included two OMP bucket seats, two red coloured rally harnesses, oil, a 20 litre green coloured Jerrycan, a 25 litre Sunoco Supreme 115 fuel drum, two aluminium silver brackets, a Peltor Intercom (black) and ten 15’ alloy wheels including Michelin, Pirelli and Konos models.

The weekend also saw the theft of a boat and its trailer from outside a house in the Cartron Breac estate, Lisbrack Road, Longford town.

The boat, which is described as being a ‘Super V’ speedboat was stolen between the hours of 2:45am and 7:20am last Saturday (April 16).

Gardaí hope its distinctive design, which includes blue mudguards, and its Super V red 6151 logo on each side will jog peoples' memories.

The boat, which is between 13ft to 14ft in length also has a 40 hp two stroke outboard engine.
