Clondra is the place to be this weekend as the Longford Blueway Festival gets underway.
There will be plenty to do for all the family on Saturday, April 16, and Sunday, April 17.
At 11am on Saturday, families are invited to take part in a family canal walk from the harbour. At the same time, a cycle of the New Tourism Route will set off.
The National Canoeing Championships, comprising of seven different events, will take place on Saturday and Sunday at Clondra Harbour, while supervised taster canoeing sessions will also be available every hour over the weekend for just €5, with equipment provided.
From 1pm - 4pm on Saturday, €750 in cash prizes will be up for grabs in a busking competition with entries still being welcomed, while attendees throughout the weekend will be treated to all manner of delicious delicacies from the food stalls on site.
