Ballymahon set for fundraiser

Ballymahon Friends of Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin will be holding a 5k crawl/walk/run on Saturday, June 11 next.

The group formally launched their fundraising drive in Kiernan's Bar, Ballymahon on Monday week last, March 28.

On behalf of the organisers, Paul Kelly extended thanks to all those who attended and showed their support.

Registration for the 5k crawl/walk/run on June 11 is from 11am at Nally's Spar. “There is no entry fee but all donations will be gratefully accepted,” explained Paul.

Ballymahon Friends of Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin committee members will also be distributing raffle tickets shortly and the draw for prizes will take place in Kiernan's Bar on the night of June 11. Tickets are €5 each or three for €10.

Paul remarked, “There are many fabulous prizes, very kindly donated by local businesses and individuals.

“There will also be music on the night of the draw so show your support by joining us.”

He added, “The Children's Hospital in Crumlin provides excellent care and treatment to those who need it the most and, in recognition of the care given to children in our own community, we feel it is time to give a little something back to show our appreciation.”
