The tradition of drama in Carrigallen goes back to the late 1800s, and in keeping with that tradition, the Corn Mill Theatre Group have another unmissable production lined up for after Easter.
Three-time winners of the All-Ireland Open Drama Finals in Athlone – most recently with 'The Devil's Céilí ' in 2014 – the group will present 'From the Belly of a Whale', the first full length play by actor, writer and director Charles McGuinness.
Living in a dystopian future of segregated, post-nationalist misery and moral degeneration, an unlikely group of characters, housed together in a system defined by personal violence and the violence of a brutal political regime, discover that their horrific personal histories might tie them together.
The exciting new play, which provides a mix of comedy, darkness and sometimes even daftness, is guaranteed to entertain.
The show will take place on Thursday, March 31, Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2 at the Corn Mill Theatre, Carrigallen.
To book, contact (049) 4339612 or (086) 8765377. A wonderful evening of theatre is promised and early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
