Two raiders attacked and held a man face down during an aggravated burglary in Longford town on St Patrick's Day.
The incident occurred as the victim was returning to his apartment in the Cuairt Nor area, across from SuperValu shortly after 11pm.
As he opened the door to the property, two male suspects grabbed him from behind, forcing him to the ground in the process.
A wallet, containing a small amount of cash and bank cards were taken in the raid, which lasted only a matter of minutes.
Seperately, gardaí are also anxious to solve two burglaries which took place in the Clonbalt Woods area of town last Friday night.
The first took place between 8pm and 9pm in 'The Willows'.
Gardaí believe a a kitchen window was forced open sometime between 8pm and 9pm, resulting in the theft of jewellery, a small sum of cash and personal documentation.
Last Friday also saw a house in the estate's 'Maple Lawns' area targeted.
On this occasion, thieves managed to gain access to the property by breaking a glass patio door before making off with jewellery, a computer hard drive, laptop and small amount of cash.
Gardaí believe both break-ins are linked and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
A similar appeal has also been made in relation to the Cuairt Nor aggrevated burglary.
