RIP: ‘Heartbreaking’ - funeral details announced for Longford man who died in road crash

Late Kamil Gumiela, Cam, Edgeworthstown will be laid to rest in Aughafin cemetery on Friday, March 20

The funeral arrangements have been announced for the young Longford resident who tragically died following a fatal road crash on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

Kamil Gumiela, Cam, Edgeworthstown died following the collision which occurred on the N4 at Ballinafid, Co Westmeath

The community  have been paying tribute to the young man describing Kamil as an ‘absolute gentleman’ and a ‘massive loss’ to everyone who knew him. Another said it was ‘heartbreaking’ for such a young life to be taken too soon. 

Kamil will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, beloved parents Miroslaw and Anna, dear sister Aleksandra and by his extended family and many friends. Niech spoczywa w pokoju.

Kamil will repose at Glennon's Funeral Home, Ballinalee Road, Longford (N39 EC81) on Thursday, March 19 from 5pm until 7pm. 

Mass of the Resurrection takes place on Friday, March 20 in St Mary's Church, Edgeworthstown at 12 noon, interment afterwards in Aughafin cemetery.
