Sorting of votes is underway in Kenagh Count Centre for GE16

Sorting of votes in the 2016 General Election for the constituency of Longford-Westmeath is underway in the Kenagh Count Centre.

The polls closed last night at 10pm.  Nationally turnout is around 65%. Voting was brisk throughout the day yesterday in Longford and a glance at some polling stations in rural areas show strong turnout figures - Mullinalaghta 73%, Ballinalee 70%, Drumlish 68%, Cullyfad 65% and Killoe 65%.
