The Transition Year students of Granard's Cnoc Mhuire - led by WorldWise Global Schools (WWGS) module coordinator Kathleen Beatty - were recently presented with litter-picking equipment by Longford County Council Environmental Awareness Officer, Carla McGoey as part of their WWGS module and Green Schools programme.

This initiative, which highlights the school’s commitment to global citizenship education and environmental sustainability, will see the students engage in activities

The students now plan to team up with the Granard TidyTowns Committee to support litter-picking activities within the town as a means of executing local actions for the benefit of global goals.
