Longford County Council have advised road users to expect short delays if travelling through Gaigue, Ballinamuck, today and tomorrow.

Drainage works will be taking place on the stretch of road between the junctions of Gaigue Cross (R198) and Ballinamuck Village from 8am until 4pm today, Thursday Dec 11, and tomorrow, Friday Dec 12.

Traffic management such as temporary traffic lights or a stop/go system will be in place during the works to allow the road to remain open.

Short traffic delays however should be expected.
