Met Eireann issues Status Orange Warning for Longford

Longford has tonight been upgraded to a Status Orange weather warning ahead of Storm Bram's arrival tomorrow.

The weather warning will be valid from 10am tomorrow morning until 9pm tomorrow night.

The storm, which, according to Met Eireann, is set to bring with it "very strong to gale force southerly winds with severe gusts", already has the entire country under a yellow wind warning.

The wind warning will come into effect from 6am tomorrow morning until 9pm tomorrow night.

Longford County Council yesterday issued flood risk alert advice ahead of bad weather.
