Longford's Garda Morag Patterson recently found herself on pumpkin patrol at St Dominic's National School in Kenagh as she judged the school's annual pumpkin contest!

The popular community Garda certainly had her work 'cut out for her' in choosing a winner as thanks to the artistic skills of the talented pupils, there was no shortage of scary entries on display.

Following great deliberation, Garda Patterson chose the winners from each class in addition to an overall winner, which she can be seen holding in the photo.

In a post on their social media, St Dominic's wrote, "Well done to everyone who took part in our Pumpkin Contest. Some really amazing and scary entries and it was easy to see the amount of work and effort put into them all. Thank you to Garda Morag for taking on the very difficult challenge of choosing an overall winner - well done Aaron!"
