It's going to be a memorable week for Killoe senior footballer, Ryan Moffett.

Just yesterday, Ryan - a chemical engineer by profession - celebrated his club Emmet Óg Killoe winning the Longford Senior Football Championship for a remarkable 15th time, while this coming week, he and Legan girlfriend, fashion influencer and marketing manager, Hayley Doherty, will be moving into their new home together.

"We are going out nearly 6 years," Hayley explained in conversation with The Longford Leader. "We live in Athlone and just recently bought our first home there. We're actually moving in this week so it’s all very exciting! A week of celebrations!"

The couple first met back in 2020, and had their first date at the start of what would become history's 'Covid era.'

Recalling how they first crossed paths, Hayley said, "I first heard of Ryan through a mutual friend and I was the one that pursued him!"

She added, "Our first date was at the very start of Covid, and I just knew from that moment he was the one! I remember telling my mom that night, if nothing came from our first date it would have still been the best date of my life and from that moment, the rest is history!"
