PICTURES | Dramatic scenes as Longford fire service extinguish car blaze

Gardaí say no injuries were reported

There were dramatic scenes on Saturday, April 6 at the Dunnes Stores car park on the Dublin Road in Longford town, as the local fire service dealt with a car engulfed by flames. 

Gardaí and fire services arrived quickly on the scene after they were alerted to the car blaze at approximately 5.30pm on Saturday. 

The fire was swiftly extinguished by local fire services.

A garda spokesperson explained that 'no injuries were reported' and that 'no offences have been disclosed'.
