Longford woman charged with possession of proceeds of crime sent forward for trial

A defendant facing a charge of possession of cash the proceeds of criminal conduct was sent forward to have the case dealt with in Longford Circuit Court at last Tuesday's District court sitting.

Linda Doyle (48) of 42 St Michael's Road, Longford was charged with possession of property, cash sums of €26,750 and £1,935, the proceeds of criminal conduct at her home address.

Judge Patricia Cronin was told the DPP consented to the matter being returned for trial in the Circuit Court on the day of the hearing.

Judge Cronin issued the defendant with an alibi warning and noting there was no Garda objection to bail sent Ms Doyle forward for trial.

Legal aid was affirmed for one solicitor and one counsel.
