Longford panto fans have been raving about the latest offering from Longford's Traditional Panto 'The Adventures of Billy and Sleeping Beauty'.
After the huge success of last year's sell out, 'Billy and the Beanstalk', the local group have created their biggest, funniest, most magical panto yet. The audience reaction to this year's production has been overwhelmingly favourable.
X Factor and panto legend Mary Byrne returned to Longford over Christmas to play the benevolent Fairy Mary, alongside comedy genius Damien Douglas as the hilarious Billy Doolittle.
There's just no telling what sort of shenanigans these two audience favourites will get up to as they bring you the pantomime of your dreams.
With Sean Hendley as the bumbling King Charles, Valerie Shiels as the evil Maleficent and the hilarious Davy Flaherty as the flamboyant Dame Daisy, 'The Adventures of Billy and Sleeping Beauty' will have you rolling in the aisles this Christmas!
The story centres on the Pantoville beautiful Princess Aurora who turns eighteen and pricks her finger on an enchanted spinning wheel. The vile Maleficent places her under a cruel curse, forcing her to sleep for 100 years.
Can hero Billy save the day? Can he outwit the evil enchantress and foil her wicked plans?
Can he pat his head and rub his tummy in a circular motion at the same time? All will be revealed in this spectacular, hilarious, slightly bonkers panto packed with magic, music, comedy and lots of surprises.
This star-studded cast also includes the amazing talents of panto favourites Niamh O'Brien, Aoibhinn Macken, Conor McLoughlin, Iarlaith O'Rourke and the renowned Evolution Stage School dancers.
The show has been a huge hit with fans during the Christmas run and there are only four more opportunities for the audience to see what all the fuss is about.
The Adventures of Billy and Sleeping Beauty will be staged in St Mel's College on Wednesday, January 3, Thursday, January 4, Friday, January 5 at 6.30pm and a special matinee show on Saturday, January 6 at 1.30pm.
Standard Ticket cost €22 plus the booking fee, with the Matinee Shows Family Ticket (2+2) for €79 plus booking fee.
