A public information event promoting Green Energy and Organic Farming was launched by Pippa Hackett, Minister of State in the Department of Agriculture, Land Use and Biodiversity, on Friday, November 24 in the Temperance Hall, Longford.
The free event was organised by Catherine Joseph, Green Party candidate for Longford to launch her campaign for the local elections in 2024. READ MORE BELOW PHOTO
Attendees received information and advice from a panel of guest speakers on Solar power, SEAI grants, organic farming and climate action initiatives.
This was followed by refreshments and an informal discussion session to allow members of the public to put their questions to the experts.
Speaking after the event Catherine Joseph, who is running in the Longford local electoral area said, ‘I’m delighted to facilitate this event.
"I want to create a forum for meaningful discussion on the simple things we can do to help individuals and communities move towards a greener and more sustainable future for Longford."
Ms Joseph continued, “ I want to thank everyone who attended - especially Minister Pippa Hackett and Cllr Peggy Nolan and I hope everyone who attended the event found it useful and inspiring.”
