Three well known and very successful local family run businesses were honoured at the 2023 Irish Family Business Awards which took place on November 3 in the Mansion House, Dublin. Killoe’s Kiernan Structural Steel was the Gold Award Winner in the Manufacturing & Engineering Family Business of the Year category.
Peter Hanley Motors, Ballymahon was the Silver Award Winner in the Best Small Family Business of the Year, sponsored by Family Business Ireland. While Gerry Ellis & Sons Ltd, Arva, who has stores in many counties, including Cavan, Longford and Leitrim, received the Gold Award in the Retail & Wholesale Family Business of the Year category.
