Two men in their twenties have been arrested following a seizure of over €195,000 worth of cannabis in Co Cavan.
Gardaí have arrested two men and seized over €195,000 in cannabis plants following searches in Cavan earlier today.
The operation was carried out with a number of local units including the Armed Support Unit and Garda Dog Unit.
Following a search of a residence in Arva, Co Cavan, a grow house was discovered by Gardaí.
244 Cannabis plants were seized with an estimated value of €195,200.
According to a spokesperson for the gardai, follow-up searches were carried out at a number of other locations in Cavan which resulted in a €2,000 seizure of cannabis herb along with €2,750 in cash.
The drugs will now undergo further analysis with Forensic Science Ireland.
The two men are currently detained at a Garda Station in Cavan.
