Dromard GAA extends its sympathy to Lizzie and the extended Macken family on the death of Peter Macken, Kiltycon.
Peter was a well known and highly respected member of the Dromard Parish community as a successful farmer and agricultural contractor and his loss to the locality since his illness was greatly felt.
The Macken family has made an instrumental contribution to Dromard GAA for many years as players and in management roles.
Ciaran and Enda are senior championship winners with Dromard and had success as the Club’s management team in 2015.
The Club offers its condolences to Peter’s wife Lizzie and sons Ciaran, Enda, Peadar, Liam and Donal and daughter Deirdre and the extended Macken family on their loss.
The legacy left by Longford's Paddy Reehill will stand the test of time
There's a well accepted argument of how the scope and size of a funeral can illustrate that person's standing in their local community.
