On the bank holiday weekend, October 27 - 28 Ballymore GAA grounds was a hive of activity as it played host to a 24hr walkathon to raise funds for the development of the club. The Walkathon took place on their new flood-lit walkway on the grounds of Ballymore GAA. The walkathon began on Friday, October 27 with the first team setting off at 6pm. All teams took turns of 1 hour slots to walk continuously over the 24 hours. At 10pm on Friday night there was a memorial hour in honour of all club and community members who have passed away. This was a very special hour and all of the club and local community participated in this poignant event.

Throughout Saturday, members of the Ballymore ladies and GAA clubs underage sections were out walking and there was loads of entertainment for all the family. On Sunday evening, October 29 the event concluded with a social night in Creegans Bunlahy. Lissette Carcamo captured some stunning photos which we hope you will enjoy. And don't forget to tag and share with your friends!
