The North Central Chapter of Freewheelers MC Ireland recently held a fundraiser in memory of the late Billy ‘The Barber’ Beahan, who passed away after a battle with cancer on October 12 last year.
During his life, Billy did a lot for local charities. He was a volunteer for Bethany House women’s refuge and did a lot of fundraising including starting the Midlands Toy Run, along with his friend Frank Kane.
In Billy's memory Freewheelers MC held a charity motorcycle run during the day and a rock night on Saturday, October 7 in the Longford Arms Hotel.
All money raised, €3,290, was divided equally between Longford Hospice Homecare and the Friends of the Regional Hospital, Tullamore.
Frank Kane of North Central Chapter of Freewheelers MC Ireland said, "We would like to thank everyone who came on the bike run and to the rock night to support both charities in Billy’s memory, especially the members of the Beahan family who made very generous donations to the charities."
