Longford planners to adjudicate on proposed Clondra and Kenagh housing developments
Longford County Council has received a planning application for a 28 home development in Clondra. The application by Tom Crosby is for a site adjacent to Cois Abhann, Cloondara, Longford.
The application seeks the demolition of two existing out-buildings (with a total area 40m2) and the construction of 28 residential units.
The units will consist of four one-bed apartment units; eight two-bed apartment units; six three-bed apartment units; one one-bed dwelling house; eight semi-detached three-bed dwelling houses; one detached four-bed dwelling house.
Included in the application is the provision for bins storage structure, estate maintenance storage structure, sewerage treatment holding tanks with associated pumping station.
The plans also cover the provision of storm drainage attenuation tanks, public open space and all associated landscaping and ancillary2 development site works.
The local authority received the planning application late last week and the planning office has indicated that a decision is due by November 7, 2023.
Council planners are also considering a planning application for a 10 home development in Kenagh. John and Sandra Conlon made the application for the development at Mosstown, Kenagh, Co. Longford.
The application is for the proposed construction of a residential development of 10 dwelling houses. The properties will consist of eight two-bedroom two-storey terraced dwellings and two three-bedroom two-storey semi-detached dwellings.
Also included in the plans are provisions for the proposed entrance and access from the adjoining residential estate known as “Deerpark”, the boundary fences and walls, a green open space.
The planning application covers the proposed connections to the existing foul sewer, surface water and watermain networks and all ancillary site works
The local authority received the application late last week and is expected to reach a decision on November 7, 2023.
