Longford's Laura Pakenham is looking for love and someone who makes her giddy in a new TV dating show
Longford's Laura Pakenham is looking for love and someone who makes her giddy in a new TV dating show.
Laura will star as a contestant on Virgin Media Television’s brand-new Irish dating show ‘Grá ar an Trá’, which launches next Monday, September 25 at 9pm on Virgin Media One.
‘Grá ar an Trá’ sees Gráinne Seoige, James Kavanagh and Síomha Ní Ruairc run the rule over 10 singletons as they head to the Gaeltacht, brushing up on their cúpla focal while also looking for love.
Their ultimate aim? To be crowned the ‘couple with the most focail’ and walk away with a grand prize to the value of €10,000. Contestants will split their time between flirting and the foclóir, idir grá agus Gaeilge.
Student teacher Laura revealed what she is looking for in a partner, “I’m looking for someone kind and caring who makes me giddy.”
And what is Laura's favourite chat-up line? “When I’m on a night out and see a lad I fancy, I’ll go up to them and pretend we’ve met on a night out before and had a cheeky kiss. Naturally they’ll say “No, I don’t think so, I don’t remember that”, to which I’ll reply “how about I jog your memory”. Works like a charm every time.”
Through fun tasks, cheeky challenges and romantic rendezvous, the couples on ‘Grá ar an Trá’ will compete all while dusting up on their Irish.
Catch the first episode ‘Grá ar an Trá’ at 9pm next Monday, September 25 on Virgin Media One and Virgin Media Player.
