Thousands of people flocked to north Longford over the course of four jam packed days (Thursday, September 7 to Sunday, September 10) for the biggest historical event in the midlands – The 225th Anniversary Commemoration of 'The Battle of Ballinamuck'. It was a truly memorable commemorative, with Saturday's reenactment of the 1798 being an event that will be talked about for generations and it was a massive credit to the local organising committee and everyone that participated.
