Cnoc Mhuire Granard High Achievers Awards: Pauline McBrien (Principal), Adam Szurlej, Enya Higgins, Joanne Rabbitt, Maeve Brady, Eimear Scanlon, Rachel Mulligan, Ana Maria Mihai & Brendan O'Reilly
Eight students who achieved 500 points or more in their Leaving Cert were honoured at Cnoc Mhuire Granard.
Cnoc Mhuire were delighted to hold their annual High Achievers Awards ceremony recently where they invited back students who achieved outstanding Leaving Cert grades.
This year the school had eight students who fit the criteria of achieving 500 points and above, each student was invited to attend with their family, who had supported them so much during their time in Cnoc Mhuire.
At the same ceremony, the Jubilee Cup was presented to the student with the best overall results. This year Eimear Scanlon was the recipient of this prestigious award, following in the footsteps of her brother Ciaran who jointly won the award in 2021.
Not surprisingly all of these students were delighted to accept their CAO offers and all are now looking forward to starting the next chapter of their lives in 3rd level.
The eight students who received awards (and the 3rd level course they accepted) are as follows:
Adam Szurlej; Computer Science (NUIG), Enya Higgins; Pharmacy (Trinity), Joanne Rabbitt; Biological Biomedical and Biomolecular Sciences (UCD), Maeve Brady; Computer Science (UCD), Eimear Scanlon; Engineering (UCD), Rachel Mulligan; Spanish and Politics (DCU), Ana Maria Mihai; Chemical and Pharmaceutical Science (DCU), Brendan O Reilly; Bachelor of Science with concurrent Teacher Education (University of Limerick).
Everyone at Cnoc Mhuire wishes these students and indeed all of their class of 2023 the very best in their future endeavours.
