Longford community will miss friendship and great wit of the late Charlie McCullagh

The late Charles William (Charlie) McCullagh, Lisrhatigan, Coolarty, Edgeworthstown, Longford / Crumlin, Dublin

The death occurred on Tuesday, July 11 of Charlie McCullagh of Lisrathigan, Coolarty and formerly of Crumlin Dublin.

Charlie came to live in Lisrathigan around thirty years ago and immediately he loved the quietness of country living and he made many friends in the Coolarty, Edgeworthstown area who really enjoyed his great Dublin wit.

A very independent man, Charlie was happy in his own company and that of his four legged friend Roy and he will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.

Charlie's remains reposed in Our lady's Manor, Edgeworthstown on Thursday evening, July 13 and his family and friends gathered to say a fond farewell to him and in accordance with his wishes he was laid to rest in Clonbroney cemetery following Mass in St James Church on Friday morning.

We offer sincere sympathy to his his loving partner Ita, sons Derek and Tony, daughters Jacqueline and Diane, bothers Tony and Pat, sisters Maura and Elsie, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends, and to all those who will miss his good humour, friendship and great wit.

May he rest in peace.
