Ray Nangle & Geraldine Killian, The Lunch Bag
A delegation of more than 90 of Ireland’s top entrepreneurs, including Longford’s Geraldine Killian are in Singapore for the annual EY Entrepreneur Of The Year CEO Retreat.
Geraldine, from Newtowncashel, is the co-founder and is Managing Director of 'The Lunch Bag' school lunch service.
Geraldine and business partner Ray Nangle (from Wexford) are among the 24 Finalists in this year’s EY Entrepreneur Of The Year programme.
Their school lunch company opened its production doors in Nenagh, Co Tipperary in September 2020, with a support office in Athlone and employs over 250 staff.
'The Lunch Bag’ duo now oversee production of almost 40,000 school lunches every day for 600 schools nationwide.
Geraldine said, “We have worked tirelessly to get The Lunch Bag positioned to be the largest and most successful school meal company in the country and the recognition of EY Entrepreneur of The Year for this achievement is a recognition of our drive and passion for what we do. We can’t wait to showcase that to the world.”
Running from last Sunday, May 14 until next Sunday, May 21, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year CEO retreat is dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship.
The aim of the retreat is to support, inspire, and challenge the entrepreneurs to take their businesses to the next level.
The delegation includes this year’s 24 EY Entrepreneur Of The Year finalists as well as alumni representing a broad spectrum of industries.
The entrepreneurs will spend the week in Singapore where they will participate in a comprehensive programme of networking, executive coaching, and education.
The itinerary includes meetings with some of Singapore’s most successful entrepreneurs and business leaders as well as inspirational talks by global thought leaders on a variety of topics.
Roger Wallace, Partner Lead for EY Entrepreneur Of The Year said, “The theme for this year’s EY Entrepreneur Of The Year programme is ‘The Art of Entrepreneurship’.
