The railway bridge over the N63, Athlone Road, Longford
A busy Longford road is to close nightly this week to facilitate railway bridge repairs.
The N63 Athlone Road, from its junction with the Townparks Industrial Estate to its junction with Mastertech Business Park/Royal Canal Avenue, will be closed from 9pm to 5am nightly from Monday, March 20 to Friday, March 24.
Longford County Council says the closure is to facilitate necessary repair works by Iarnrod Eireann to the railway bridge over the N63.
The recommended detour route is divert via L-3016 Townparks Industrial Estate, L-1175 Connaught Road and L-1176 Flancare Road.
Longford County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused by this road closure.
