North Longford school in stunning Junk Kouture design creations

Junk Kouture

Life of Pi......ne by Adriana Cruz, Caoimhe Connell and Josefin Schulz. Made from scales of pine cones and mesh from broken hanging baskets

There were nine entries from Cnoc Mhuire Granard in the Junk Kouture competition this year.

Of course, Cnoc Mhuire and Art teacher, Ms Charmaine Hetherton, are no strangers to Junk Kouture success as earlier this year, Solomon Eduard and Joshua Osabuehien, were crowned World Designer of the Year at the first ever Junk Kouture World Final in Abu Dhabi.

On Wednesday, March 8 the first round of regional results were announced which resulted in four of the design teams qualifying from Cnoc Mhuire: Tangled, Short Circuit, Look Sharp and Life of Pi....ne!

The following day Thursday, March 9 the result of who was through to the Dublin City Final was announced and all at Cnoc Mhuire were thrilled to find out that Life of Pi....ne had made it through.

Well done to all the teams who worked so hard on their great costumes and sincere thanks yet again to Mr Carroll for all his brilliant photos of the creations.
