Council approves expansion of Longford's ISPCA facility

Longford County Council has granted planning permission to the ISPCA National Animal Centre to progress with an expansion of their facility at Derryglogher, Kenagh.

 

The animal welfare charity lodged an application for the proposed construction of two detached kennelling structures both of which incorporate 20 kennels, two treatment rooms, laundry room, kitchen and two storage rooms in each structure, proposed connections to existing services and all ancillary site works last December.

Having reviewed the file the local authority planners granted approval to the proposed development is subject to seven conditions.

The conditions attached include adherence to the submitted plans, water and wastewater considerations and that any alterations to the proposed development required in order to increase energy efficiency, passive heating or solar heating, the use of renewable energy resources comply with codes of practice for the installation of such measures.
